all the scientific discoveries are a result of human nature of curiosity and constructivism ,so we cannot agree to it that it cannot be applied in science.
I am still getting confused over the difference between constructivism and social constructivism..... please can we draw a definitive line between the two???
ill give u an example.imagine you have to make students portfolio of an early year's student and every one does it by writing remarks in your school.but you think if you could take his photographs and make video n share it with parents along with written report.so this is constructivism.then when you discuss it with your colleagues and if they give you a suggestion that install photostory software and when you take pictures and make videos you should make a photostory of each child where you can add pictures/videos n write comments on it and add audio music/verbal remarks to it and it will explain things in a better way n will have a better impression on parents.n it can be saved n given to the parents in usb n children will also find it interesting.so this is social constructivism
you write a lesson plan and after conducting the lesson you evaluate it and make an action plan to improve it .it is constructivism.on your coordination meeting you discuss your new plans and previous evaluations with your school head n coordinator, the suggestions that they give you and you agree to some of them ,this is social constructivism
